Hope Springs Eternal

After months of hoping and praying (by quite a few), we are expecting. I am 12 weeks and 4 days pregnant, and due on September 24th. We had an ultrasound on Friday, and everything looks good. The baby was "climbing the walls" as the ultrasound tech said. Boy oh boy are we in for some fun! Thank you all for your prayers for us, and please keep sending them up. Hope Springs Eternal! God had a plan for us, we just had to be patient.

Oh, Marisa. I'm so excited for you guys. I still have my boppy pillow and Anne has some of my baby baby clothes if you need them. Can't wait to pat your little pregnant belly!

With regards to the action...that baby is my cousin, you know. I'm just saying there could be genetic thing going on. I'm praying she takes after you. (Just guessing on the sex...you know first born girls rock!)

I'm about to cry, too, and I'm not even pregnant! Remember praying for the desires of your heart at my house? I will never forget that, my sweet friend!

We'll celebrate with blueberry milkshakes...my pregnant beverage of choice!

Congrats Marisa!! How exciting!! That can be a long wait and I'm glad (by looking at those comments) that you weren't alone.

And now I see you were telling me in code: "I'm essentially the only one I have to care for" Pah! You are taking care of someone else too now and you are permitted full sympathy rights as such when you are sick. :)

Ooh, good catch, Michelle! And thank you for the full sympathy rights! Are you feeling better?
Mary, blueberry milkshakes REALLY don't sound good. In fact,(don't tell) sweet things are not terribly appealing these days. I usually have to counteract sweet with salty or savory. I like sweets so much I can hardly stand it! I had fries with my blizzard the other day! And I will never forget praying for the desires of my heart at your house either!

Traci, thanks for the offers. I think I have a boppy pillow from Mary, and clothes sound wonderful.
Jessica, don't get me started! You know better!

Figure you have mounds of clothing coming - both Traci's she passed on to me and some of ours too! :)

Oh, THAT'S right...YOU get to pick the beverage, because you're the pregnant one. I'm having sympathy cravings. We'll talk about those milkshakes again in July...besides, blueberries are considered brain food, and I'm scared I overdid it a bit with the Maggs in utero. She may be smarter than me.

I think I shuffled all my stuff to your house already. That's the funny thing about announcing pregnancy in Jordan: you have to start locking your door, now, because mysterious black garbage bags stuffed with maternity clothes and baby clothes start showing up. And they are untraceable, because they've been worn by 50 pregnant women in the county, and most of thier offspring! Maternity clothes never die, you know that, don't you? They are made of polyester, for stretch. Polyester lasts longer than titanium.

I'd love random bags of maternity clothes at this point! I have loads, but I'm having the worst time finding something to wear each day! Maybe instead of more maternity clothes, I just need somebody to come and help me sort, I don't know!

Marisa, congratulations!! I love getting my baby fixes through all of my friends. My kiddos are 23 and 21 so I need to hug babies often. It's nice getting to "know" you and perhaps we can meet in person when I venture back to see Mary!

Thank you, that would be great, Kerri!
