Or with a lion! First of all, a disclaimer, there will be pictures of a dead animal, and blood. Continue at your own discretion.
That aside, school was cancelled today, and what a day for it! This afternoon, we got a call to go on a mountain lion hunt. Of course, we threw on an extra layer, and took off. Lion tracks had been spotted by a local rancher, who made a few calls, and we were off. It had travelled several miles, but the trail was followed into some timber where the hounds released. We were able to drive right to where the lion was treed, and take some pictures. It was an exciting day!

Question averted: Neither John nor I shot the lion, another guy on the trip shot it.
Oh Wow....that is so cool. It was a great afternoon for it too!!
That's so cool! Great picture....Who shot it? or are you sworn to secrecy?
Not your garden-variety afternoon I'd say. Are you actually touching the dead lion, or just pretending to? You guys look awfully cute together holding that lion's head up..... did you ever see yourself doing this 4 or 5 years ago?
Traci, definitely not your garden variety afternoon! What a rush! Yes, I was actually touching the lion, it was kind of soft, unlike the one that John has hanging in the basement. And, no, I did NOT see myself doing this 4 or 5 years ago! John's pretty excited, because it was the baby's first lion hunt!
